Do you use Mango Languages, the Library's language learning database available for FREE on your computer at home?

Now you can use Mango on your mobile device! With the free iPhone and Android apps from Mango, you can access the same awesome courses available through from the Osceola Library System when you’re on the go.

For the apps to work, you must have an account with Mango set up through the library’s website, and an iPhone or Android mobile device. Once the apps and lessons have been downloaded, you can learn at your own pace, with or without an internet connection. To create an account, go here. Have your Library card handy!

To download the app, go to the app store on your mobile device and search for "mango."

Amnesty week is April 9-15. Clear your unpaid overdue fees while helping the community! Join the Osceola Library System in partnering with the local Green Bag Project to help donate food to those in need.

For every non-perishable, sealed, food item you donate at the Library, you will receive a $1.00 credit towards your overdue fees.

In-Demand Food Items:

Canned Food
Macaroni & Cheese
Peanut butter (plastic container)
Jelly (plastic container)
Soup Packages
Oatmeal

There’s no limit on the amount you can donate.

Car Seat Safety Checks

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that 8 out of 10 car seats are improperly installed. Be sure that your child is in one of the safe car seats by having your car seat inspected today!

Please pre-register to have your car-seat inspected anytime between the hours of 9 and 10:30 a.m. Inspections will be completed on a first come, first served basis.

Florida state law requires children under the age of 5 to be protected with an approved and properly used child restraint device. For children under 3, Florida law requires children be in a separate car seat or a car seat that is integrated into the vehicle. For children ages 4 and 5, a separate car seat, integrated car seat or seat belt may be used.

The Osceola Library System and School District of Osceola County are pleased to present the 8th annual Exhibition Literacy through Art. Enjoy the artistic talents of many hardworking and gifted students, and their teachers, who live in Osceola County.

This year's theme of "Fables, Folk Tales, Legends, & Myths" must include the original pieces of student created art that reflects a scene, character, or idea from a book classified in one of these genres.

Don’t miss this special exhibit created by Osceola County's very special artists! It's on display at the Hart Memorial Central Library until January 9.

Holiday Extravaganza

While parents finish up last-minute holiday errands, the Library's elves will keep kids busy with a fun-filled afternoon: making presents in Santa's Workshop, being entertained by special performers, watching Holiday G-rated movies, and more!
