Harpist Kathleen Attanasi Performs at Osceola Library

Harpist Kathleen Attanasi is back again to perform at the Library all throughout March. For Going Green and St. Patricks Day she will be playing a selection of Irish tunes and other enchanting songs.

One Man Junk Band

Bringing music appreciation and conservation together, Vic Larsen, a self-professed "authority on Junk," reuses everyday objects as instruments. Families will be entertained by the musicianship and fun antics of Vic Larsen, and kids are even invited to play instruments made from recycled materials themselves! Get ready to participate in the Musical Grande finale and prepare to be inspired.

An Inconvenient Truth

In keeping with this month's theme to "Go Green" the Library invites you to attend this viewing of an "An Inconvenient Truth", the movie that won awards at the Sundance Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival, and was instrumental in Al Gore being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. This movie is rated PG. Some materials may not be a suited for children.

March Crafters Corner: Renew, Reuse, Recycle!

In the spirit of going green we're offering a very special session of our popular Crafters Corner series.

This month, if you want ot have some small part in saving the planet, learn how to renew, reuse, and recycle empties that you normally discard: plastics, containers, jars, and more to create fabulous crafts. This Trash-to-Treasure workship will be presented by Paul Szuch.

Our popular grantwriting workshop series continues on this February. There is plenty to learn for aspiring grant writers of all levels so sign up for a free and informative learning experience.
