Authors' Blitz!

Join the Library on August 18th for an all day Author's Event at the Hart Memorial Central Library. Authors Jan Day, Anita Ornoff, Catherine Kean, Susan Hubbard, and Darlyn Finch will be on hand to present workshops, sign books, and discuss the world of writing and publishing. Register early for this event.


Workshop Schedule:

9:30 a.m. - Check-in at Registration Desk, Refreshments

10 a.m.- Workshop: Top Five Ways to Avoid Rejection presented by Catherine Kean

11 a.m.- Workshop: Journy to the Bookshelf: From Idea to Children's Picture Book presented by Jan Day

11:45 a.m. - 1 p.m. Lunch, Refreshments, Raffle Drawing

1:15 p.m. - Workshop: Overcoming Adversity presented by Anita Bloom Ornoff

2:15 p.m. - Workshop: Creating Compelling Characters presented by Susan Hubbard

3:15 p.m. - Workshop: Writer's Groups presented by Darlyn Finch

Internet Safety with P.S. Respect

Parents and teens are invited to this safety workshop presented by P.S. Respect. Learn how to surf safely, make sure your MySpace profile isn't giving too much away, and avoid online predators. There will also be plenty of opportunity to ask questions.

There is no registration required and more than one session is planned.

Sherri Tozzi's Scrapbooking

Come and join the Library for the latest installment of Crafters' Corner. Sherri Tozzi's talent will again be featured in this wonderful class. Sherri is a stamping whiz with a flair for turning ordinary paper into works of art. Don't miss out this time. Please register for this class early as there is a limit of 15 people per class.
